The CO₂& Energy RI&E has been recognized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate. This means that this instrument can be found on the list of Recognized Instruments on the site of the RVO. Larger companies, from 250 FTEs or €50 million turnover, are required to have an Energy Audit performed every 4 years by an external agency. An EED Audit costs a company thousands of euros. Using an Approved Instrument removes this obligation.
Both of these analysis systems are part of the total RI&E toolbox, which companies can use to implement their CO₂& Energy Reduction Policy.
Our approach
The CO₂& Energy RI&E is a web-based application that matches RI&Es from other fields. Once all measures have been gone through and the status of each measure has been recorded, a report can be generated "at the push of a button" in which all actions taken and still to be taken are recorded. This report is suitable for submission to the government via the e-desk of RFO. All companies that are obliged to report, which you already are as of 5 employees, can thus easily meet their reporting obligation with this approved tool.

The CO₂ & Energy RI&E is a highly professional, yet user-friendly web application. The RI&E not only provides a complete (EML) list of potential energy saving options, but also includes a high-level CO₂ footprint monitor, as the calculation methodology is based on internationally recognized and accredited methodologies. After going through several input screens, the program will present a complete energy analysis of your company.
Maintain
After setting up the CO₂ & Energy RI&E, it is important to keep it up to date. Maintaining the RI&E is a prerequisite for this. Therefore, have your RI&E periodically assessed and updated by one of our CO₂ & Energy consultants. This will ensure that you always have up-to-date management information.
Conducting audit
Periodically conducting internal checks (internal audits) is an essential part of the Energy Savings Monitor. In this way, the functioning of your system is measured and timely improvement actions are identified. Organizing internal audits is the best stepping stone to certification.
Certify
You obtain the certificate after a positive external audit conducted by a certifying body. We can assist you with the external audit and thus with obtaining a CO₂ and Energy certificate.
