ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is the international standard that sets out the requirements an environmental management system must meet. More and more customers expect their suppliers to have a sustainability policy in place. The best way to achieve this is by implementing an environmental management system. This not only yields environmental benefits but also earns the appreciation of your customers, your employees, and government regulators. Additionally, a company with an ISO 14001 certificate demonstrates that it strives to prevent environmental damage and is capable of continuously improving its environmental performance.
The standard will be updated in 2026. The fundamentals of environmental management will remain unchanged, but the standard will be significantly strengthened in areas that have become more important in recent years: climate, supply chain responsibility, strategy, and demonstrability.

Our approach
An environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 enables entrepreneurs to deal with sustainability in a structured and predictable way. This approach will lead to cost control by dealing more efficiently with raw and auxiliary materials. In addition, the waste stream is reduced to a minimum (cost-saving) and company waste materials are seen much more as new raw materials.
Basics
- Control of environmental risks resulting from the organization's activities.
- The continuous improvement of performance and prevention of environmental pollution.
- Compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Maintain
After setting up the environmental management system, it is important to keep your system continuously updated. Your in-house consultant can take on the role of external environmental coordinator without difficulty and will help you maintain your system. You will then only need to periodically check the quality of your system.
Conducting audit
Periodically performing internal checks (internal audits) is an essential part of an ISO system. In this way, the functioning of your environmental management system is measured and timely improvement actions are identified. Organizing internal audits is the best stepping stone to certification.
Certify
You obtain the certificate after a positive external audit conducted by a certifying body. We can guide you through the external audit and thus help you obtain ISO 14001 certification.
