Security Manager as a Service

The ideal solution for information security

Getting your information in order

Understanding laws and regulations

Ready for the future

With our Security Manager as a Service (SMaaS), we solve the capacity problem that many organizations face. We step in as an external security manager and take responsibility for setting up, maintaining, and improving your ISMS (Information Security Management System). This way, we ensure your organization complies with laws and regulations, is well-prepared for audits, and is ready for the future. No scattered advice or thick reports, just someone who takes care of it. And we only hand it over when you’re ready and your team is prepared. After all, there are also companies that do not want to employ their own Security Manager and prefer to have their ISO 27001 system fully managed by a SMaaS provider due to the higher quality and lower costs.

Over 250 companies already rely on our expertise and knowledge

Do these challenges sound familiar to you?

Veel bedrijven willen ISO 27001 implementeren of voldoen aan strengere regelgeving zoals de AVG of NIS2, maar lopen vast op capaciteit, structuur of voortgang. Herken je één van deze situaties?

No one really has the time or the capacity to take it on

Your team has a lot on its plate, so information security keeps getting put on the back burner. You know it’s important, but there’s simply no one in-house who can handle it on a regular basis.

No overview of what has already been done or what still needs to be done

From risk analysis to policy documents and control measures: you lack a clear understanding of where you stand and what else is needed to properly implement and maintain information security.

An ISMS was once implemented, but has since become outdated or fragmented

There are documents, procedures, and isolated improvement initiatives, but the system is outdated, inadequately documented, or not transferable. You lack a solid foundation.

There is pressure from customers, partners, or tenders

Whether it’s a customer request or a certification requirement: action is needed, but no one knows how or where to start. You’re the one who has to handle it, but you don’t have the time.

These challenges lead to delays, uncertainty, and risks. But with temporary support, you can bring structure, action, and peace of mind into your home.

With the right support, you'll gain a firm footing and more space.

What is Security Manager as a Service?

Many organizations want to prioritize information security or ISO 27001, but are held back by a lack of resources, organizational structure, or ongoing workloads. Our Security Manager as a Service (SMaaS) offers a solution: an experienced professional who helps your organization set up and maintain a professional information security program.

With SMaaS, one of our specialists takes on the role of security manager. Here’s what we do, specifically:

  • Setting up a functional ISMS:
We work with you to set up an Information Security Management System (ISMS) based on ISO 27001 or other relevant standards.
  • Establishing structure and ensuring processes:
We provide clarity and structure: risk analyses, policies, procedures, logging, and internal audits are established and ensured.
  • Management and maintenance:
We maintain the system by carrying out actions independently or delegating them within the organization, and ensure that it remains up to date, including following up on actions, updates, and reporting to management.
  • Handover as soon as you're ready:
The goal is not dependency, but transferability. As soon as your organization has the desire and capacity, we will actively assist in training the new Security Manager.

Security Manager as a Service is therefore not an external consulting service, but a specialized resource within your organization. It is flexible, results-oriented, and fully focused on delivering a stable, fully functional system.

Who is this for?

Our Security Manager as a Service is designed for organizations that need temporary additional resources to professionally establish or improve their information security without immediately hiring permanent staff.

It is particularly suitable for:

  • Growing companies that want to professionalize their operations and achieve ISO 27001 certification.

  • Manufacturing and printing companies with significant data and supply chain responsibilities.

  • Companies that are under pressure from customers to meet stricter requirements.

  • Organizations that are already ISO-certified but want to better embed or restructure their ISMS.

  • Teams that have already started but are struggling with structure or progress.

Some of our previous clients:

  • Zalsman Zwolle: Due to a change in the ICT manager, the Service Center temporarily took over the role of Security Manager and then gradually handed it back.
  • MediaCenter Rotterdam: The Service Center is involved in the internal handover of the ISMS and the company’s restructuring to strengthen the ISMS within the company and ensure the continuity of the ISMS through additional knowledge transfer.
  • Printforce: Additional support and coordination are needed for the implementation of the ISMS to ensure that the ISO 27001 certification process proceeds according to plan.
  • DMi ten Klei: Due to a lack of in-house capacity, the Service Center is responsible for coordinating, transferring knowledge, and building support for the ISMS throughout the entire company.

A Security Manager is responsible for establishing, managing, and improving information security within your organization. This includes conducting risk assessments, developing policies, establishing procedures, preparing for audits, and ensuring compliance with standards such as ISO 27001. At our firm, the Security Manager temporarily takes on these tasks and ensures that your organization gains control over its information security.
