What is an RI&E?
A Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E) is an inventory for companies to identify and assess risks in the areas of working conditions, environment, and energy. The goal is to create a safe and healthy work environment while meeting legal obligations.

New Environmental RI&E
In April 2024, the Environmental RI&E was added to the existing Health & Safety RI&E and CO₂ & Energy RI&E. This provides companies with one efficient platform for all business risks. We spoke with director John Koekenbier and senior advisor Peter Tegel. Koekenbier emphasizes the advantages of the combined web application: 'You can now work in a structured way on your ISO 14001 certificate, for example, without logging in and out all the time. The same platform makes performing and tracking various business risks easy.'
Proprietary development and ease of use
Peter Tegel explains: 'The Environmental RI&E, like the other RI&Es, was developed by Services Center itself. Companies with ISO 14001 certification can easily inventory their environmental risks. Although the recording is free form, the existing platform offers great convenience and time savings. You select your type of company and the number of employees, then the system displays relevant departments and processes. Go through the questions and inventory the environmental risks independently, with optimal support through the web application.'
Costs and benefits of RI&E tools
The annual cost of using Dienstencentrum's Web application ranges from a few hundred euros for companies with fewer than 15 employees to a maximum of 2,200 euros for larger companies. Benefits include KVGO membership discounts and combination discounts when using multiple RI&E tools.
Floramedia and the benefits of RI&Es
Floramedia, active in the green sector, uses all three RI&E tools.
