What was the challenge?
Previously, full responsibility for quality management, sustainability, and working conditions rested with the director, Rogier Schrijer. As the company grew, it became increasingly challenging to maintain the required certifications and optimize the associated processes. PPP Nederland wanted not only to comply with ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management), but also to implement continuous improvements. In addition, there was a need for a structured approach to the Occupational Health and Safety Risk Assessment and audits.
What was the approach?
The Service Center was engaged to assist PPP Nederland with the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and the Occupational Health and Safety Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E). This included:
- Support for certification processes and audits
- Setting and updating improvement goals
- Support for internal audits and preparation for external audits
- Consulting on sustainable business practices and process optimization
- Implementation of the ClimateCalc methodology for calculating the carbon footprint
- Support with the hiring and training of a QHSE coordinator
- Assistance with completing the CO2 & Energy RI&E
Implementation Process
The implementation of ISO certifications and the Occupational Health and Safety Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E) at PPP Nederland was approached in a careful and structured manner. The process began with a thorough analysis of existing business operations, during which areas for improvement and opportunities for optimization were identified. Based on this, specific objectives were established and implemented to improve both quality and environmental management processes.
