Wilco Printing
The first printing company in the Netherlands to operate with full integration with the Carbon Print-Score®
Wilco Printing in Amersfoort is the first Dutch printing company to have fully integrated the Carbon Print-Score® into its business operations and ERP system. Through a direct link to Xgram, Compri’s ERP system, Wilco can calculate the CO₂ score of printed materials directly from its own work environment.

What was the challenge?
Sustainability has long been a top priority at Wilco. The family-owned business from Amersfoort was looking for a way to make that ambition concrete and substantiated—not with a non-binding sustainability claim, but with a score that is verifiable and comparable. The Carbon Print-Score® offers just that: an independent A–E rating for the CO₂ emissions of printed materials, awarded by SCCI and based on ClimateCalc and Dienstencentrum’s CO₂ & Energy Risk and Exposure Assessment (RI&E).
From a standalone label to an integral part of the process
Calculating a score is one thing; implementing it systematically is another. For Wilco, it was important that the Carbon Print-Score® not become an additional step outside the production process, but rather an integral part of the existing workflow.
Dienstencentrum has therefore partnered with Compri, the developer of Xgram, to build a direct integration between the Carbon Print-Score® and the ERP system. Thanks to this integration, Wilco can calculate the CO₂ score of printed products directly from within its own Xgram environment, without having to enter data twice or switch between systems. The Carbon Print-Score® is now accessible right where Wilco already works.
Why this is relevant now
Effective September 27, 2026, the ECGT/EmpCo Directive (EU 2024/825) will take effect, prohibiting unsubstantiated sustainability claims. Companies that claim their product is sustainable or low-carbon must be able to substantiate that claim. The Carbon Print-Score® provides printing companies and their clients with that substantiation: an independently verified label rather than a self-declared claim.
For Wilco, this integration means that the quote is not a separate process alongside order processing, but rather a feature within the system the company already uses on a daily basis.
Open API, including for other ERP systems
The integration with Xgram is the first live integration of the Carbon Print-Score® with an ERP system. The Carbon Print-Score® is built using an open API, which means that other ERP and cost-calculation systems in the graphic arts industry can also implement a similar integration.
